Outside linebacker Antwan Applewhite was the latest Charger at that spot to have his practice compromised with an injury. Applewhite, who often plays on passing downs, has a foot injury.

Considering the Raiders were 3-for-13 in the red zone through three games before going 3-for-3 in a 31-24 loss to Houston, they've not only upped their scoring, but they made it clear there's a lot more points to be had.
101st regular-season meeting. Raiders lead series, 55-44-2, even with the Chargers seeking their 14th straight head-to-head win. The Chargers won the first meeting in 1960, blasting the Raiders 52-28 at the L.A. Coliseum.
101st regular-season meeting. Raiders lead series 54-44-2. Chargers have won the last 13 in succession and can tie New England over Buffalo as the longest-running streak in the NFL. Chargers won in Oakland 24-20 last season in Monday night opener when Darren Sproles scored on a 5-yard run with 18 seconds left. Last Raiders win was Sept. 28, 2003, on Sebastian Janikowski's 46-yard field goal in overtime. Rich Gannon passed for 348 yards and Jerry Rice caught seven passes for 126 yards.
