Giants run defense vs. Texans RB Arian Foster. The strength of the Texans' offensive attack is Foster, who currently leads the NFL with 537 rushing yards, 257 of which he accumulated during the opening weekend. The Texans' secret weapon could very well be FB Vonta Leach, who has quietly established himself as one of the best blocking fullbacks in the league. Leach has routinely blown defenders out of the hole and has done a nice job with sealing the edges to help spring Foster for five runs of 20 or more yards. Giants DT Chris Canty will need to follow up on last week's stellar effort in which he controlled his lane and took away the cutbacks, drawing two blockers more often than not.

LB Keith Bulluck (toe) and C Shaun O'Hara (ankle) remain out of practice. Coughlin said that there is no change in either man's status, but did confirm that Bulluck wouldn't play this week against Houston. Coughlin is hoping to have Bulluck back for next week's game against Detroit.
S Kenny Phillips (knee), C Adam Koets (knee), and DE Osi Umenyiora (knee) returned to practice Thursday. All three players were limited.
Texans DRE Mario Williams, who has five sacks, vs. Giants LT David Diehl, an eight-year veteran. Williams is off to a tremendous start. He also has 11 hurries and three tackles for loss in the running game. His chop move on the pass rush has improved tremendously. He uses it well to knock down the right hand of the tackle to better his inside position. Diehl knows every trick in the book. He's sound and feisty, but he better get help on the pass rush from a tight end or running back.
OLB Kevin Bentley (knee) is out after undergoing a scope last week. FS Eugene Wilson (hamstring) was limited in practice Wednesday. So was S Dominique Barber (ribs). Barber started in place of Wilson against the Raiders. When Barber went out, Troy Nolan replaced him and intercepted two passes.
